FAQs

Q: How long will my move take?
A: This will be best answered once I come out and take a look of all the items that need to be moved and any other needs you may have

Q: How and when should I pay?
A: Payment for your shipment must be paid immediately after the move is complete.
Payment can be made by one of the following methods: cash, personal checks, or cashier's check. In addition, Discover©SM Card, Visa® or MasterCard® can be used to pay.

Q: Can I pack my china, glass and crystal?
A: Most people prefer to have their household possessions, especially fragile items, professionally packed by a moving company. However, if you decide to pack these items yourself, remember that the basic principles of good packing include wrapping the items individually, providing plenty of cushioning and making sure of a firm pack.

Be sure to select a sturdy container with a lid. Place a two- or three-inch layer of crushed paper on the bottom of the carton as a cushion. Wrap each item individually with a soft material to provide a safe, protective, "padded nest." Pack the heaviest items on the bottom and the lighter ones next, filling in empty spaces with crushed paper. Place plates on edge and glassware on rims for maximum protection. Mark the carton "Fragile," and list the contents on the outside. Be sure to seal the carton with tape.

Q: Is moving labor the only moving expense I should expect?
A:
Moving labor represents the majority of the moving expense. However, you should also budget for packing supplies, such as moving boxes and tape. We take special precautions with delicate or oversized items, such as paintings and chandeliers. These items often require a custom wooden crate, which will incur an additional fee.

Q: I want to do some packing and moving before the movers arrive. What areas would be most helpful?
A:
Focus on packing, instead of moving. Smaller items and moving boxes can be moved very quickly by professional movers. Don't spend time trying to move these items yourself. Rather, focus on packing boxes, so when the movers arrive, you are 100% ready

Q: How will the movers know what items to take and what to leave behind?
A:
When the movers first arrive, they will do a walk through of your current home, confirming which items are going and which are not.

Q: Can the movers arrange the furniture to my liking in my new home?
A:
Absolutely. When we deliver your items to your new home the movers will work closely with you to make sure all furniture and boxes arrive in the correct rooms, and we are happy to arrange and rearrange the furniture exactly as you would like it.

Q: Can my movers clean my home on moving day?
A:
We clean up any clutter we make during the moving process, and can carry out general house cleaning. Please mention this information to the mover.

Q: Is it possible to move during inclement weather?
A:
Yes. Our professional movers and moving trucks are prepared to move during rain, sleet, or snow. They come equipped with supplies to keep your belongings safe from the elements.
